Frequently Asked Questions

What is your availability?

Studio photography is available on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Whilst on-location is available on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Friday mornings (by request), Saturdays and Sundays. Get in touch for more details.

Do you photograph in client’s homes?

Yes, I do shoot in clients’ homes, this is ideal solo, dating profile photos, child portraits and graduation photography. However you must have a lot of natural window light available as I shoot with fill in flash. It is better to shoot in your backyard if this isn’t the case.

What forms of payment do you accept?

I accept cash, BACS, PAYM, Visa and MasterCard. However, a 2.8% service fee is applied to credit card transactions.

How do I prepare for a session?

Applying ChapStick a few days before the shoot is recommended as well moisturised skin is noticeable.

How do I prepare children for a session?

Remember that during a session there is no rush, so don’t worry if they are a bit grumpy or if they aren’t behaving. Try to avoid asking them to smile or say cheese – genuine smiles come from children that are calm, relaxed and having fun! Please feel free to bring a favourite toy, a snack or drink, but avoid chocolate as it can be a bit messy.

What should I wear?

Always wear something that you’re comfortable in and defines your style. If we’re shooting in the studio on grey or white backdrops, wearing bright colours will look best. On a black backdrop, darker colours help to emphasise your face more.

Can you arrange a make-up artist and/or hair stylist?

These are available upon request, a make-up artist is £55 and a hair stylist is £50.
